The Main Reason Why Obama’s Contraception Mandate is Unconstiutional
The main reason why Obama’s “contraception mandate” is unconstitutional is that ALL of Obamacare is unconstitutional regardless of what the Supreme Court may say in June.
Obamacare (like Romneycare on which it was based) is a clear violation of the Supreme Law of the Land.
Neither the federal nor any individual state government possesses the constitutional authority to force (or mandate) any individual citizen to purchase any good or service. Period!
And that is the main argument that should have been made from the very beginning.
The moment Obamacare opponents ceded that any portion of it was constitutional was the exact moment they lost the debate.
Since Obamacare in toto is unconstitutional it should be ignored by every individual state.
Any individual state governor that enforces any part of the legally null and void Obamacare abomination, is in violation of their oath to only enforce laws in accord with the United States Constitution. And no governor has to get permission from any court to fulfill their primary duty as chief law enforcement officer of that state!
Secondarily, the HHS mandate forcing religious employers to offer free contraception coverage including abortafascients is unconstitutional not because it violates “religious conscience” or “church teachings” as many prominent religious leaders such as Archbishop (and Cardinal designate) Timothy Dolan of New York, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops are claiming.
While the mandate may be in violation of both, the primary reason the mandate is unconstitutional is because it directly violates God’s Law…”Thou Shall Not Murder.” Period!
No law contrary to God’s Divinely Revealed Law or the “Laws of Nature and Nature’s God” is any law at all paraphrasing St. Thomas Aquinas and is the primary reason to oppose Obamacare and the mandate.

RomneyCare is an Oxymoron or an Oxymorman — LOL
Gen 10-11 Nimrod who is the Great Grandson of Noah and the son of Cush introduced NimrodCare which handed out Ishtar (contraceptives) and Molech (RU486 abortion pills) to all those that would follow in the building of the New World Order Tower of Babel.
Contraceptives and RU486 are a High Tech form of the worship of Baal, Ishtar and Molech.
Our own government is mandating the worship of Lucifer via Healthcare.
Our once free nation is forcing everyone in the USA to participate in ObamaCare and RomneyCare. If we don’t we will be severely penalized.

Right now ObamaCare and RomneyCare are forcing everyone to participate in the mandated Healthcare plan or be severely penalized.
Healthcare is 35 percent of the gross national product in the USA. If Obama can control this 35 percent of the GNP he will have control of 90 percent of the US spend.
By signing up for this 32,000 page Health Care Bill we are actually inadvertently signing up to worship the Beast.

I agree that Obamacare in toto is unconstitutional and should be repealed altogether. That being said, I don\’t think that your argument that the government cannot mandate goods or services is a strong argument. For example, drivers are required to carry drivers insurance in order to exercise their driving privileges. Of course, they are free not to have such insurance in which case they cannot legally drive.
Is there a more cogent argument?

There are numerous reasons why Obamacare is unconstitutional. See Matt’s links above.
But the analogy you cite is incorrect. The government doesn’t require every citizen to buy car insurance. Only those who purchase cars and choose to drive are obligated to be insured.
In the case of Romneycare or Obamacare (one in the same), the government is forcing (mandating) that every citizen purchase health insurance even though some may not want or need it. (which many consider to be a 10th amendment violation).
