John MacArthur’s False 7 point Lordship Salvation Plan from his book, “The Gospel According to Jesus”:
1. Denial of self
2. Denial of self-righteousness
3. Recognition of sin (this requirement is Biblical)
4. Full of repentance
5. Submission to Christ
6. Commitment to obey Him
7. Follow Him no matter what the cost
The One True Gospel of Grace:
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” (1st Corninthians 15:1-4)
Sadly, false teachers such as 5 point Calvinists John MacArthur, Paul Washer, Ray Comfort, Todd Friel, and Kirk Cameron believe in and teach a false works based gospel which conflates the requirement for salvation (believing the Gospel alone) with requirements for discipleship and spiritual growth. These are very dangerous men who are leading many to hell with them and who are, according to the Apostle Paul in Galatians 1:8-9, “accursed.”
Beware of these wolves in sheep’s clothing whose primary goal is to devour the flock…
