STERN WARNING TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE & TEACH “REPENTANCE OF SINS” IS REQUIRED FOR SALVATION. By Gregg Jackson

0

No matter how many times I do videos or posts saying that neither Jesus nor any of His apostles or disciples EVER told anyone EVER ONCE that they needed to “repent of their sins” to be saved, I always get at least 10 comments saying, “But Peter said to ‘repent’ in Acts 2:38.”

And every time, I tell them the same thing that Peter never said “repent of your sins.” Nor did Jesus EVER! Nor did ANY of His apostles or disciples EVER TELL ANYONE TO EVER “REPENT OF THEIR SINS” to be saved!!! EVER!!!!

This LIE that the Bible teaches a person must “repent of all their sins,” “turn from their sins,” or “stop sinning” to be saved has been repeated so often from so many false teachers in churches and here on YouTube that people actually believe it in spite of the FACT that (please forgive my redundancy) NEITHER JESUS NOR ANY OF HIS APOSTLES OR DISCIPLES EVER TOLD ANYONE EVER TO “REPENT OF THEIR SINS” TO BE SAVED.

NEVER ONCE!!!

PLEASE PEOPLE…READ YOUR BIBLE FOR YOURSELVES!!!

STOP repeating, regurgitating & promulgating this LIE from the PIT OF HELL!

Eternal salvation is by God’s grace alone through FAITH ALONE in Jesus Christ alone!!! PERIOD!!!

When Paul and Silas were asked by the Philippian jailer, “what must I do to be saved?” they didn’t tell him “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and repent of all your sins to be saved.”

NO!!!! They told him to “BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.” (Acts 16:31)

Sola fide! Sola fide! Sola fide!

In the few times the word “repent” is used in regards to salvation (It is never used once in John’s Gospel), as I and many other Grace teachers, have explained numerous times, it is translated from the Greek word, “Metanoia” which means to “change one’s mind” to go from NOT believing in Jesus Christ ALONE for salvation and eternal life to BELIEVING in HIM ALONE for salvation and eternal life.

“Metanoi” doesn’t mean to ” repent of sins,” “turn from sins,” or to “stop sinning”!!!!!!!!!

“Do not add to His words Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6)

Where will you spend eternity?

0

If there’s one thing that I hope and pray this Coronavirus Global Pandemic is doing is making people realize & think about the brevity & fragility of life and what happens after a person dies.

Some believe there is nothing after the grave and that a person just ceases to be or is reincarnated as an animal or becimes a “god” of their own planet like the Mormons believe…

But the Bible is clear: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27) According to God’s Word, after a person dies, he/she will be judged.

Those who have placed their faith in the Eternally Existing Son of God, God The Son, Jesus Christ alone (and not in ANY of their own works) will go before the Bema Seat to be judged for their works. Not for their sins, since they were ALL forgiven the very MOMENT the born again believer BELIEVED in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ alone (His death, burial & resurrection) but for their works for the issuance of REWARDS!

BUT those who rejected the FREE gift of salvation by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, will go to THE GREAT WHITE THRONE to be judged for their works. And no matter how “good,” “upstanding,” & “ethical” they were during their lives, they will ALL fall short because they ALL failed to DO the ONLY work God ever required of them which was “to believe on The One Whom God (The Father) has sent (The Son Jesus Christ).” (John 6:29)

All of them trusted in “being a good person,” “not doing any of the major sins,” “going to church regularly,” “daily repentance of sins,” “getting water baptized” etc… But NONE of them ever trusted in their hearts in Jesus Christ ALONE for the remission of all their sins and eternal life.

And they will all spend eternity in The Lake of Fire (which is a real place, really hot & really FOREVER)… a place I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to go to. (Rev 20)

But the GOOD NEWS is that you don’t ever have to worry about going there if you would repent (change your mind) & BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ alone RIGHT NOW for the remission of all your sins past, present and future & eternal life. If you have not yet done so, I would encourage you to do it TODAY! For TODAY is the day of salvation and tomorrow is promised to NO ONE!

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

Choose life!

Eternal life through FAITH in Jesus Christ ALONE!!!

Hope to see you at The Bema Seat soon!

Is this the end of the world?

0

I’ve heard numerous people ask if the global pandemic, economic collapse, earthquakes, locust storms etc…mark the end of the world.

The truth is that the world isn’t ending but the dispensation of grace that we are living in is. The next dispensation on God’s prophetic timeline that is about to begin is the 7 year tribulation or “Time of Jacob’s Trouble” as it is referred to in The Bible.

Prior to this dispensation, the body of Christ (saved born again believers) are raptured to heaven where they (we) will be while God pours out His wrath on unbelieving Israel & the unbelieving Gentile nations for 7 years. If you think things are bad now, you ain’t seen nothin yet.

The 7 year tribulation will be marked by the worst destruction, devastation & death in the history of the world. People will still have a chance to be saved during the Tribulation but will likely have to become martyrs for doing so.

If you have not trusted in Jesus Christ, the eternally existing Son of God, God the Son, as your Lord and Savior, I pray that you do so today.

“For all who call on the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

What we are witnessing right now is not the end of the world.

It’s just the end of the world as you know it…

John MacArthur’s False 7 point Lordship Salvation Plan from his book, “The Gospel According to Jesus”

0

John MacArthur’s False 7 point Lordship Salvation Plan from his book, “The Gospel According to Jesus”:

1. Denial of self

2. Denial of self-righteousness

3. Recognition of sin (this requirement is Biblical)

4. Full of repentance

5. Submission to Christ

6. Commitment to obey Him

7. Follow Him no matter what the cost

The One True Gospel of Grace:

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” (1st Corninthians 15:1-4)

Sadly, false teachers such as 5 point Calvinists John MacArthur, Paul Washer, Ray Comfort, Todd Friel, and Kirk Cameron believe in and teach a false works based gospel which conflates the requirement for salvation (believing the Gospel alone) with requirements for discipleship and spiritual growth. These are very dangerous men who are leading many to hell with them and who are, according to the Apostle Paul in Galatians 1:8-9, “accursed.”

Beware of these wolves in sheep’s clothing whose primary goal is to devour the flock…

Time line for upcoming world events according to God’s Word

Time line for upcoming world events according to God’s Word (by Gregg Jackson)

1. Global economic crisis & pandemic worsens. (The Bible says in the “end times” that things get worse not better.)
(2 Timothy 3)

2. Born Again Believers in Jesus Christ raptured (1st Thessalonians 4). Only those who have trusted in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ on The Cross ALONE (His death, burial and resurrection) for the remission of all their sins and eternal life will be raptured to heaven because they are not appointed to God’s wrath which will be poured out in subsequent judgements (seals, trumpets, bowls) during the Tribulation.
(1st Thessalonians 5:9)

3. 7 year Tribulation begins/The Anti-Christ revealed who will have all the answers to all the world’s problems and most of the world will see him as their savior. (Daniel 9:27)

4. The New World Order anti-Christ beast system will claim all Christians either died from the pandemic or were taken by aliens or some type of similar deception. (Rev 12:9)

5. Mark of Beast system issued. No person will be able to buy or sell without the mark (most likely a digital chip) in right hand or forehead & will have to worship the anti-Christ (forfeiting any chance at being saved). (Rev 16:12 and Rev 19:20)

6. Born again believers who are raptured who are in heaven with Jesus will go before the Bema Seat immediately after being raptured to be judged NOT for their sins which they have already been forgiven for but for their rewards! And then they (we) will all celebrate at the Wedding Supper of The Lamb w/ Jesus!!!! (Romans 14:10, 2nd Corinthians 5:9-10)

7. During the 7 year Tribulation the 2 witnesses and 144,000 (12,000 males from each of the 12 tribes of Israel (not the Jahova’s Witnesses LOL) will be sharing The Gospel of Jesus Christ and a remnant will be saved and likely be martyred as a result. (Rev 7:4-8)

8. At end of The Great Tribulation, all born again believers return w/ Jesus (at His 2nd Coming) to destroy all the wicked left on earth at The Battle of Armageddon. (Rev 16:16)

9. Immediately following the 2nd Coming, Jesus will sit on David’s Throne in Jerusalem (fulfilling the Davidic Covenant) and rule with a Rod of Iron with His saints (born again believers) for 1,000 years. (Rev 3:21, Rev 20:4-6)

10. At end of millennium, hell, satan and his angels and those who have rejected The Gospel at end of millennium will be cast into The Lake of Fire forever. (Rev 20:14, Rev 21:8)

11. All believers will live in The New Heavens and New Earth for all eternity! (Isaiah 65:17, Matthew 19:28, Rev 21:1 and Rev 21:5)

****Bottom Line: If you are not saved, call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ today so that you can go in the rapture and not be around for the tribulation which is about to begin.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever would believe on Him would not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

“Repenting of sins” & “Stopping sinning” is NOT a prerequisite for salvation!

0

Many false teachers, such as Ray Comfort, teach a person must “turn from all their sins” and “stop sinning” as a prerequisite for salvation.

Sin is transgression of the law.

Repenting of sins is obeying the law.

Faith + obeying the law is a syncritistic mixing of faith & works and is NOT The Gospel!

If cessation from all sins were a requirement for salvation, Heaven would be a pretty empty place since the only sinless person to ever walk the earth was The God-Man, Jesus Christ. And He would have also died in vain if we could have become sinlessly perfect on our own.

Biblical salvific repentance DOESN’T mean to “repent of all individual sins” ever comitted in one’s life or to “stop sinning” (both are impossible). And if a person has claimed that they have done either, they have deceived themselves and the truth is not in him. (1st John 1:8-9) The word “repent” in the Greek as it pertains to salvation is “Metanoia” which means to “change one’s mind.”

Biblical salvific repentance is merely the changing of one’s mind frim NOT trusting in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ ALONE for the remission of all a person’s sins past, present & future (they were all future 2,000 yrs ago) & eternal life to TRUSTING in His finished redemptive work on The Cross ALONE for the remission of all a person’s sins and eternal life.

BELIEVING that The Eternally Existing Son of God, God The Son, Jesus Christ, died for ALL your sins past, present & future, was buried and rose again on the 3rd day according to the scriptures is the ONLY requirement for eternal salvation. (Believing The Gospel alone!!!).

Not “repenting of all individual sins ever committed” + believing The Gospel. Not “stopping sinning” + believing The Gospel. Not “turning from all sins” + believing The Gospel. Faith in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ + NOTHING = eternal life & eternal security! Period!!!

Neither Jesus nor any of His apostles or disciples EVER told anyone they had to “stop sinning” or “repent of their individual sins” to BE saved. Ever!!!! And I am NOT saying that AFTER a person is saved that they should not acknowledge and confess their sins one to another and to The Lord ad part of their spiritual growth and maturity.

But doing so is NOT a requirement for salvation. The ONLY requirement for salvation/eternal life is “believing in the One (God The Son, Jesus Christ) Whom God (The Father) has sent.” (John 6:29) If you have placed your faith in anything other than The Blood of Jesus and His finished redemptive work on Calvary’s Cross (His death, burial & resurrection) for the remission of ALL your sins and eternal life, I pray you repent (change your mind) & BELIEVE The Gospel ALONE and get saved today!

For TODAY is the day of salvation!!! God bless you and be encouraged!!!

I’m not going to heaven because…

0

I’m not going to heaven because of my righteousness.

I’m going to heaven because of Jesus’ righteousness He imputed to me the instant I first believed in Him.

I’m not going to heaven because of my obedience.

I’m going to heaven because of His perfect obedience.

I’m not going to heaven because I obeyed the law.

I’m going to heaven because He did.

I’m not going to heaven because I repented of all of my sins.

I’m going to heaven because He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for (me), that (I) might become the righteousness of God in Him.

I’m not going to heaven forever and cannot lose my salvation because I’m deluded that it is a “doctrine of demons.”

I’m going to heaven forever because He promised me that all I needed to do was trust in Him ALONE and that I would never be plucked out of His Father’s Hand or His hand or perish.

I’m not going to heaven based on my faithfullness.

I’m going to heaven because He is the author and finisher of my faith and promised never to leave me nor forsake me.

I’m not going to heaven because I’m good.

I’m going to heaven because He is.

I’m not going to heaven because I was water baptized.

I’m going to heaven because I heard the Gospel, believed it and was immediately sealed and baptized by the Holy Spirit INTO Jesus Christ for all eternity.

I’m not going to heaven because I pick up my cross and follow Him.

I’m going to heaven because He picked up HIS cross and shed HIS perfect sinless blood on it for me.

I’m not giong to heaven because I overcome the world based on my own works.

I’m going to heaven becase His Word promise me that I overcome the world by BELIEVING in the Son of God.

I’m not going to heaven because I gave my life to Jesus.

I’m going to heaven because He gave His life for me and I put my trust in Him alone.

To God be the Glory!!!

“Short Answers to 8 of The Most Important Questions Regarding The Will of God, Salvation, The Gospel, Eternal Security & Repentance.” By Gregg Jackson (Feel free to share)

0

“Short Answers to 8 of The Most Important Questions Regarding The Will of God, Salvation, The Gospel, Eternal Security & Repentance.” By Gregg Jackson (Feel free to share)

1. What is the will of God? To believe on The Eternally Existing Son of God, God The Son, Jesus Christ! “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent Me, that of all which He hath given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that every one which seeth The Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:39-40)

2. What are the works of God? To believe on the one whom God the Father sent, His Son, Jesus Christ! “Then said they unto Him, ‘What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?’ Jesus answered and said unto them, ‘This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.'” (John 6:28-29)

3. What must I do to be saved? Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, that He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd day according to the scriptures. “And brought them out, and said, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.'” (Acts 16:31)

4. What is The Gospel & does believing The Gospel save me? It’s The “Good News.” That Jesus died for all your sins (past, present & future), was buried (proving He was dead) & rose again on the 3rd day according to the (old testament) scriptures for your justification in the eyes of God. “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you The Gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.” (1st Corinthians 15:1-4)

5. Are works required for salvation? No. We are NOT saved by works or kept saved by works. We are saved FOR works. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” (Romans 4:5)

6. Can I lose my salvation? No. Once a person genuinely believes the Gospel they are sealed by The Holy Spirit in Christ the instant they believe forever and can never perish! “In whom ye also trusted (referring to Jesus), after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:13-14) “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.” (John 10:27-30)

7. Do I need to endure till the end to be saved? In Matthew 24 :13 Jesus tells the disciples, “he who endures till the end, will be saved.” When read in proper context, it is clear Jesus is speaking about Jews during the tribulation (which occurs after The Church is raptured). Jesus is telling them that those Jewish believers during the Tribulation who “endure” till “the end” of the Tribulation will be saved. The word “saved” in proper context in this passage signifies being saved from danger during the Tribulation, not saved from hell.

8. Do I need to repent for my sins to be saved or to stay saved? No! Neither Jesus, nor any of His apostle’s or disciples ever told anybody they needed to “repent of their sins” or “stop sinning” to be saved. Sin is transgression of the law. Repenting of sin is following the law. Salvation is by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Not by faith in Jesus PLUS obeying the law. The only requirement for eternal salvation is believing The Gospel! AFTER a person is saved, they SHOULD repent from their sins (confessing your sins to God) not to stay saved (because you can never lose your salvation) but as their rightful service to God to stay in right relationship with Him. The ONLY requirement for salvation is trusting (BELIEVING) in the finsihed redemptive work of Jesus Christ on The Cross ALONE for the remission of all your sins and eternal life. “For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son that whoesoever would BELIEVE in Him would not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

The One True Gospel of Grace Vs. The False Lordship Salvation-Faith Plus Works Gospel

0

Here is what the Bible says about eternal salvation:

All people are sinners in need of a savior.

“No one is righteous. Not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned wasy; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12)

The price (or consequence) of sin is death.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

Jesus Christ died for our sins.

“But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8

We receive salvation and eternal life by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.

“For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten son. That whosoever would believe on Him would not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Salvation through faith alone in Jesus Christ brings us into a relationship of peace with God.

“Therefore, since we Have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.” (Romans 5:1)

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

Salvation is eternal! Nothing can ever separate a born again believer in Jesus from Him!

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today or our worries about tomorrow, not even the powers of hell can separAte us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or earth below–indeed, nothing in all creation, will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

The very moment a person places his faith in Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection he or she is “sealed by the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 1:13) and saved eternally. It is a free gift. No works are involved in receiving the gift or maintaining it.

It is also an eternal gift and God promises the born again believer he/she “will never perish.” (John 10:28)

That is why the Gospel is referred to as “The Good News.”

It wouldn’t be good news if you had to work for it or always questioned whether your eternal destination was Heaven or The Lake of Fire.

Salvation is also a one time event. Not a process as many false teachers claim. Many false teachers (5 point Calvinists, Arminianists, and Lordship Salvationists) incorrectly teach that a person is saved by grace alone through faith alone BUT that they either have to DO certain additional works either to get saved or to maintain their salvation. (i.e., “repent of all their sins,” “surrender to the Lordship of Jesus,” “endure till the end,” etc…

They often mock and scoff at the One True Gospel of Grace (that a person is saved by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone) derisively referring to it as “greasy grace” and “easy believism” and frequently claim that Jesus “did His part” but that “you have to do yours to maintain your salvation.”

Let me be clear.

Anyone who teaches any of these “faith plus works” false salvation doctrines are preaching a “doctrine of demons.” The Apostle Paul declares that those preaching such false works-salvation gospels to be “accursed.” (Galatians1:8)

The common denominator with all these false doctrines and teachers is that they all conflate salvation with santification applying verses in the Bible having to do with sanctification to salvation.

Salvation is a one time event in the life of The Believer.

Sanctification is a process a Born Again Believer undergoes the rest of their life here on this earth AFTER they have received the free gift of salvation by God’s grace alone, through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.

Many people who sit under these faith in Jesus+works false teachers struggle with knowing whether they are truly saved and frequently doubt their salvation which causes major fear and anxiety.

Frank Mirinith has written an article entitled, “The Psychological Effects of Lordship Salvation” which details many of the physical and phychological problems people who have been taught that salvation is conditional can suffer from including neuroses, phychoses, personality and affective disorders and substance abuse.

If you happen to be one of those people, this article is for you to assure you that you were sealed by the Holy Spirit the very moment you acknowledged that you were a sinner in need of a savior and placed your faith ALONE in THE Savior, Jesus Christ, and HIS finished redemptive work on The Cross alone for the remission of all your sins (past, present and future) until “the day of redemption” (Ephesians 4:30) (when you recieve your glofified body) and that your salvation is NOT CONDITIONAL on any works either before you were saved or after.

Eternal salvation is only the result of God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.

A person is saved FOR good works.

Not by them!

So, of course after you have received the FREE gift of salvation by faith in what Jesus did for you, you SHOULD do the good works God has prepared for you as your good and rightfull service unto the Lord.

You SHOULD get water baptized.

You SHOULD read your Bible daily.

You SHOULD join a Christ centered, solid Bible teaching church.

You SHOULD serve the orphan and the widow and go on mission trips to share The Gospel and help people with their physical needs.

You SHOULD acknowledge your sinful actions and behaviors to God and ask for forgiveness for those whom you have wronged.

And you SHOULD strive toward being more obedient and faithful in sharing The Gospel with a lost and dying un-saved world who desperately needs Jesus!

But the key word is SHOULD!

None of these things are requirements for eternal salvation.

They are the things outlined in the Bible that God knows are good for us and that will help us grow in our faith so that we can be more effective in loving God and loving others with the hopes that we will be more effective in winning souls to Heaven!

A person has a choice as to how much/little they desire to grow. And each person will bear different ammounts of fruit in this life which I believe the Bible teaches will influence not only the blessings we receive in this life but also for all of eternity.

But the key here is that Salvation is a one time event and Sanctification is a process and it is VITAL we who endeavor to rightly dviide the Word of God clearly differntiate the two.

When we are secure in knowing that God has forgiven all our sins and that we have the eternal assurance of knowing that we will spend eternity in heaven with Him, we can experience the True Grace that God desires that we walk in.

True Liberty and True Freedom only found in Jesus Christ!

If you have trusted in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ alone for the remission of your sins and eternal life, be assured that you are saved eternally and “WILL NEVER PERISH.” It’s God’s promise to His Children. He will “never leave you nor forsake you.”

Bask in His grace and grow in your faith by daily endeavoring to do the “SHOULDS.”

But just know that we all fall short. None of us are perfect. So KNOW with 100% certainty that even when you do (and you will) fall short on the “SHOULDS”, your eternal salvation is NEVER IN QUESTION!

And if you have not trusted in Jesus for the remission of your sins and eternal life, may today be the day of salvation for you!

“For all who call on the name of Jesus will be saved!” (Romans 10:13)

So, here is what the inerrant, authoritative and infallible word of God says about eternal salvation.

It’s by Grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone!

Be encouraged!

Ephesians 2:8-10

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Galatians 2:16

Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

Romans 3:28

For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

Romans 5:1

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 4:5

And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,

Romans 4:3

For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.”

Philipians 3:9

And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith.

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.

John 5:24

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

James 2:23

And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 11:6

But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

Romans 3:20

For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

Galatians 2:21

I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

Galatians 5:6

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

Galatians 3:24

So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.

John 3:36

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not believe in the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

Genesis 15:6

And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness.

Acts 16:31

And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Romans 4:16

That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring—not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

Romans 4:1-25

What then shall we say was gained by Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due. And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, …

Romans 3:22

The righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction:

John 1:12

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,

Romans 4:11

He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well,

Romans 1:17

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. All Christians (whether Jewish or Gentile) should love the Jewish people since we have the “King of the Jews” Jesus (whose parents were both Jewish) in our hearts.

And we should endeavor to share the Gospel with them every opportunity the Holy Spirit presents to us since there is no other name under heaven by which any man can be saved:-) If we “love our neighbor as ourselves” we won’t hesitate to tell any unsaved person (Jews and Gentiles) what Jesus Himself declared:

“I am the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but through me.” (John 16:6)

Faith in Jesus is the only way to have our sins forgiven and to have eternal life with God in heaven.

It’s that simple! And thank God He made it that simple or I would definitely find a way to mess it up:-)

God loves the Jewish people and no genuine born-again believer should possess even the slightest strain of anti-Semitism.

God’s blessings to you on this 2nd day of Channukah (which Jesus celebrated in John 10) and, greatest of all holidays, Christmas in a few weeks!

In His Grip,

Gregg
